stormwater modifications | east falls, pa
Andropogon created a comprehensive neighborhood approach to managing stormwater in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia. The project’s primary goal is to use innovative green approaches which create site specific designs to capture and reduce street runoff from discharging into the Schuylkill River. Through facilitated design charrettes and community meetings, Andropogon developed a series of best management practices that address issues of traffic calming, bicycle and pedestrian users, hydrology and soils, and community greening. The intention is that this project will set the benchmark for the creation of innovative green street design throughout Philadelphia.
