Andropogon is excited to introduce our newest employee, Emily Rothrock. Emily a Landscape Architect who will sit in our Raleigh, NC location. We did a quick Q&A with her to give everyone a better idea of who she is and what she brings to our firm.
Andropogon: Where did you grow up?
Emily: York, PA
A: Where did you go to school?
E: Virginia Tech, Undergrad for Landscape Architecture
A: What do you love about where you live now?
E: Eclectic mix of lifestyle options, arts and makers vibe, local regenerative agriculture
A: How did you get interested in landscape architecture?
E: By accident (as most). A new friend freshman year in college was in LA. But, it has been rooted in my for my existence. I just didn’t know about it!
A: What is one of your favorite places?
E: Island of Oahu, HI
A: What do you love about landscape architecture?
E: Problem solving challenge, the responsibility to always continue learning about the ethics and moral solutions to design, seeing people use the spaces you’ve created
A: What are you looking forward to doing at Andropogon?
E: Learning more about the breadth of design challenges and opportunities to collaborate on design solutions with the team!
A: What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
E: I enjoy making pottery, volunteering at local farms, making and shooting longbows, and exploring all that Raleigh has to offer.
