master plan & site design | philadelphia, pa
Andropogon’s plan for the Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center is among the region’s most environmentally progressive sites. To sustainably transform the contaminated brownfield site into a 13 acre community center including playfields, parking, formal gardens, and an urban agriculture center, Andropogon developed a comprehensive landscape approach. Through methodical water management techniques, re-use, and intensive waste recycling this richly programmed landscape responds to the City of Philadelphia’s most stringent sustainability codes.
