how can our work increase awareness of humanity’s vital and inseparable relationship to our environment?

MORRIS ARBORETUM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA

WE LOVE THIS PLACE.

The Morris Arboretum, located in Philadelphia, was Andropogon’s first project and remains a special place where we go to celebrate, learn, and recharge. Andropogon’s 1978 master plan and many implementation projects have guided the institution through 40 years of growth. In 1978, the site was visited by over 25,000 people a year. Today, it attracts 130,000 visitors annually. According to the arboretum’s most recent strategic plan, “adhering to an overarching vision has enabled the Arboretum to transform itself from a sleepy, overgrown private estate to a first-class botanical institution.” All of our work at the Morris Arboretum has focused on the user experience, integrating art and science at the scale of human experience to reveal our critical relationship with our environment.
