Lehigh Valley Hospital
master plan & site design | allentown, pa
Designed in conjunction with the Hospital’s planned construction of a seven story patient care building, two parking decks and a new medical office building, the landscape master plan maximizes site opportunities and establishes sustainable design principles and guidelines for current and future campus development. The site design focuses on an integrated stormwater management system and strengthening relationships to existing and proposed buildings, roads, pedestrian circulation, and existing and proposed parking. The development of campus greens and open space, healing gardens and courtyards and an enhanced drop-off and entry plaza for the Hospital creates a more welcoming visitor experience. A trail provides a connection from the campus buildings to the adjacent woodland and the meadow, providing visitors with a place of respite within a natural environment.
