Carol Franklin to kick off NC State's Landscape Architecture Lecture Series

Carol will be giving a lecture entitled "The Necessity of Systems Thinking in Making, Preserving, Restoring and Creating Landscapes," on January 23rd at NC State University.  She will be discussing her award winning new book Metropolitan Paradise:  The Struggle for Nature in the City, as well as digging into the incredible work she has been doing in the office both recently and over the past 35 years.  

Andropogon Associates and Team get shortlisted for National Mall Competition

Our team was one of four selected to enter the final stage of the National Mall Design Competition for the Constitution Gardens. Constitution Gardens is located between the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. Andropogon is teamed with Bohlin Cywinski Jackson.

Andropogon Associates shortlisted in Campus Design Competition

Andropogon Associates and its International, multi-disciplinary team have made it to the final round of 5 in a competition to design a prestigious campus outside of Jodhpur, India.  The school is hoping to achieve net-0 water, net-0 energy, and net-0 waste.  The team is very excited about proposing cutting-edge solutions to some major challenges in its final proposal.

The 40th Street Portal Project Nears Completion of Schematic Design Phase

The University City District has hired Andropogon Associates to design the 40th Street Portal project. This exciting project will transform the trolley portal into a gateway center for University City linking this busy transit hub to the University City neighborhood, U of Penn, University of the Sciences, the VA Hospital, & 3 commercial corridors: Baltimore Ave., 40th St., and Woodland Ave & beyond. Through a partnership between UCD, SEPTA, & the City of Philadelphia, the project is intended to become a “beacon” for sustainable transportation & design. Andropogon announces promotions

We are thrilled to announce the promotion of several Andropogon employees.  Ngim Chea has been promoted to Associate. Chris Mendel is also a new Associate. Amy Reese is now a Senior Landscape Designer. Darren Damone has been promoted to Senior Landscape Architect.  Their commitment and success towards the firm is greatly appreciated and we look forward to their future leadership within the firm.
